Clue #1 of 14

A world-renowned art museum housing European masterpieces from the 14th to the 18th centuries. It holds one of the world's largest collections of Rubens paintings. Features Albert Altdorfer’s The Battle of Alexander at Issus, Albrecht Dürer's Self-Portrait at Twenty-Eight, and Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna of the Carnation. Known for its long, skylit halls (pioneered by Leo von Klenze in 1836) and a distinctive, partially rebuilt facade showing "wounds" from WWII damage. It is a premier repository for European masters before the 19th century.
