Clue #1 of 13

Your first clue is going to take you to eastern Asia. Located at the lowest part of north-eastern China, this museum is directly north of Tiananmen Square. It has traditional yellow-roofed Chinese palatial architecture, extensive wooden structures, massive stone plazas, and thousands of historical artifacts. It was built oriented towards the sun to follow traditional Feng Shui principles, and it was modified over the years, through massive construction and landscaping. Historically, the site represented the movement of elite people, the ruling class, and messengers within the imperial city. Today, it focuses on the millions of tourists and cultural exchange. It is a distinct, formal region, characterized as the cultural, historical, and symbolic nature of Chinese imperial history, within the larger region of Beijing.
