This museum holds over 35,000 art pieces, it's one of the biggest museums in the world, and it was built as a fortress in 1190 to protect Paris from Viking raids. Its art is defined by the movement of treasures across continents, many of which were transported from the Near East and Ancient Egypt to be moved within the museum.
