Are you Ready to Rock?

Christmas is just around the corner and one of the hottest Christmas gifts this year is Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. It is one of the most widely known video games of all time and is enormously fun and addictive to play.

We thought it would be fun to create a TerraHunt based on songs and trivia related to Guitar Hero. The clues are drawn from songs featured in all of the editions of Guitar Hero up to and including the latest release.

TerraCritters definitely have a problem when it comes to directions and tend to get lost fairly easy so they need your help. Bryan has created an easy hunt with an interesting topic called Tightrope Artists. Learn some interesting factoids about these amazing death defying performers. After that, you will probably want something a little more challenging to work on. bigvic1788 has created a fun and challenging hunt where you have to use some lyrics from well known songs to find the hidden location on the map.

Love the show MythBusters? Then you'll love the MythBusters hunt that chasmosaur crafted for us. danielapereira created another fascinating hunt, this time it's a City Treasure Hunt where you have to follow a trail of picture clues, each one leading you to a different city. Once you solve the first 11 clues, use the information you gathered to solve clue #12. Caution, this one is challenging but rewarding. If you'd rather try something quick and easy, unklstuart takes us on a really fun tour of pyramids around the world.

Variety Pack

Two of the top players on TerraClues, danielapereira and bigvic1788 have created some really interesting hunts for you to try.

The first is Natural Wonders by bigvic1788 which challenges you to find 13 natural wonders around the globe. Up for a challenge? If so, then you definitely want to check out From an Orbital Station by danielapereira with 5 locations for you to find using only a satelite photo. Be forewarned that this hunt is not for beginners but if you are up for the challenge, we think you'll find it a fun and rewarding hunt to play. Looking for something a little easier but unique? Around the World

Are featured hunts this time around come from Bryan and Sam and they have us searching all over our little blue planet we call home. First up is Bryan’s World Casino’s hunt. Can you solve the clues and find all 7 casinos? This one isn’t for the beginners some of these “homes of the high rollers” are hard to find.

Next up we have two hunts from Sam. Sam’s checking to see if we were all awake during geography class with his Flags Around the World and Flags Around the World 2 hunts. Sam gives you flag for a country and you have to find it’s capital. Easier than it sounds.

The New York, New York! hunt created by tmd218 is a well crafted hunt with intriguing clues and well researched answers. Chart your way through New York City's rich history--get to know some of the less-famous landmarks and learn something new about the famous ones! Use Hybrid view (recommended) or Satellite to find all clues.

Lost
In anticipation of the return of the hit show Lost this Wednesday, Joanne has put together a hunt where you have to use clues about various characters to determine their identity then find their home town on the map.

Britpop
It's a UK invasion on TerraClues and Cathieisfabulous has created a challenging but fun hunt where you have to locate the homes and origins of Britpop bands.

Super Bowl XLI
It’s that time of year again when the National Football League's AFC Champs face off against the NFC Champs in a battle of inches. Two teams compete but only one can claim the Vince Lombardi Trophy by winning sports biggest game, The Super Bowl! Now to help kick things off for Super Bowl XLI we are featuring some TerraHunts with a football theme. First up is Sonya’s NFL Stadium Hunt challenging you to find the NFL Stadium for players, coaches or teams. Next up is Jay’s Past Super Bowls hunt where you are given a Super Bowl number and need to find the stadium it was played in. So paint up your face your favorite team colours and put on that giant foam finger it's Super Bowl time at TerraClues!

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

In this featured hunt, you must search the World for the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Can you find the Great Pyrimad of Giza or the location where the Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood? Six of the seven Wonders are no longer in existance, and in some cases, not even ruins are left behind. Each time you solve a clue, a small tidbit of historical information will be provided with the answer. You will need to make extensive use of the satellite or hybrid view as very little information at these locations on the regular map. This hunt is considered to be quite challenging as the clues are not easily found by entering a few key words in the map search box. Good luck!
